New features for OccluSense®

With the OccluSense® product, Bausch and its owner André Bausch revolutionized the dental industry. The prototype of a digital OccluSense® handheld device designed in 2016 aimed to transfer recorded data to an app – the cornerstone for the digitalization of occlusion in dentistry. The app for clear visualization of occlusal chewing pressure conditions became one of BAYOOMED’s first mobile development projects.

Now the success story of Dr. Jean Bausch GmbH & Co. KG continues, together with BAYOOMED. Because a standstill in the creative and technical development of the app is absolutely out of the question.

Simplified data exchange

A new function will now make it possible to transfer data from the app (iOS) to the separate Windows application “OccluSense Connect” and to the patient management system (PMS) – and vice versa. This process makes secure data exchange even easier and faster. This is because important patient information can be synchronized from the PMS to the app with just a few clicks.

“While we are creating the contact point in the app for further development, Bausch is developing the Windows application in parallel with us,” explains Nicolas Riedl, Project Manager at BAYOOMED. “Regular and constructive exchange is therefore particularly important.”

Further progress for a digitalized dental industry

In addition to conventional patient data, such as name or date of birth, visualizations of the chewing force conditions in the mouth (up to 150 images per second) are also synchronized between the app and the Windows application.

Another option: working offline. This is because the app can also be used without WLAN access by saving the data locally.

“The app has some new features that make work easier for users. However, we are particularly proud of the complex synchronization model that we designed and developed together with Bausch. This is further progress for a digitalized dental industry”
