Why is linking data through connectivity so important?
Whether evaluating your heart rate while you sleep or continuously measuring your blood sugar, data is always collected, consolidated and analyzed in order to draw conclusions, identify problems and make recommendations.
These are recorded by the respective medical device or wearable (e.g. smartwatch) and linked to the mobile medical app or the analysis software in various ways.
Bluetooth, Wifi, NFC or manual input?
Whether the data is transferred via Bluetooth, Wifi, NFC or even manual input depends on the type of application, the data to be recorded and the desired use of the information.
This continuously transmitted data is either stored on the device itself or in a cloud and is permanently accessible to the user. In addition, they enable evaluation by medical professionals and allow the observation of a wide range of parameters over a longer period of time, which were previously only recorded selectively (e.g. during visits to the doctor’s office or hospital).
